Just downloaded and installed V3P5. Going to my usual first test site (www.catalina.com), which uses JS only for simple image substitution, the computer "locks" up. (Actually, I think the V goes into an infinite loop making a reboot necessary.) Anyway, the JSERROR.LOG indicates a parsing error: PARSE ERROR VERSION: 3.0.36 (30.10.99) URL: http://www.catalina.com/mainpg/frames.html LINE: 47 DESCRIPTION: parse error Turning off javascript, the site loaded normally. Haven't tested any other sites that use JS, but I'm sure the same problem would result in Voyager being useless with JS enabled. So, what we've ended up with in P5, for all intents and purposes, is just a fast version of 2.95. Two steps forward, one step back. Also, checked the eBay "item" pages and that funky offset still exists. Didn't have time to edit the code from within V to see if V crashes when applying the corrections. (For me to place bids, I've had to use Opera on a Windows 3.1, 486 subnotebook I use for e-mail and such, when "on the road.") Overall, page decoding seems faster, as does jpeg image decoding. Still, sometimes after the downloading "gauge" disappears, I can't tell whether V has crashed or is just decoding, since there is no indicator of activity. The active "Stop" button does give a clue that V isn't finished, but I would prefer some type of animated "busy" indicator during decoding. The V transfer animation is only active during a download and not during a long decode. More later. -- Patrick Bartek NoLife Polymath Group [EMAIL PROTECTED] ____________________________________________________________ Voyager Mailing List - Info & Archive: http://www.vapor.com/ For Listserver Help: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "HELP" To Unsubscribe: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "UNSUBSCRIBE"
