mmh, i think there is no 256 mode fit for this,
unless you have a new serial port..
you had to be happy with 128,
that could give you a 56k speeed.
i really don't see much difference there... specially when
v298 look better in 64 colors than 3.0 pre 5 with 256 :-(
For the moment i use 3.0 only when i need javascript,
for prettier gaphics i use 2.98 :-<
I hope tht Olli could check the dithering routines
after he finishe with Javascript...
