I totally agree, I think both IE and Netscape are both bloated, buggy pieces
of crap. The latest Windows Browsers are so full of useless stuff (Chat
programs, ActiveX) that it is not even safe for Windows users to surf the
web now. There are so much pages now using ActiveX plugins, Java web
applets, and other silly things that just hack a Winbox to pieces. A good
example was, a friend of mine had to check his results for a University
Test. He was unable to do it on his Amiga, as the current browsers do not
aupport some of the trojan features of the PC browser plugins ;) So he had
to use Windows, first he needed to download the Shackwave installation,
Which connects to a site, and start downlaoding lots of stuff and
installing it on the Winbox, After it finally finished installing, it made
the brower visit the shockwave page. After the test crap finished and it
was fully installed, he went to the Uni page and clicked on the students
link... After about 5 minutes the page loaded, and their was a totally lame
and bloated flashy login page, just asking your your username and
password.. He entered it... After that, the shockwave plugin was NOT
needed...

What kind of bullcrap is that? Pages like that should be accessable by Lynx.

Anyway... I wish the WWW was like it was a few years back, around pre 1997.
When frames were just the new thing on the web. And no stupid javascript
popup ads every second page you visit ;-)

I would also have to agree with you there, I mainly use iB 2.1 (waiting for
a less-buggy ib2.2), and i think iBrowse is the ebst brower available on
any platform. Ofcourse iB2.1 is buggy, but i still use it, and when it
continues to keep crashing, i use iB1.22.

Voyager is also a good browser, but recently it has been beginning to look
like IE and Netscape, and is starting to get their annoying bugs. But
Voyager looks like it is the future of Amiga browsers if iB2.2 doesnt come
out soon, because Voyager is getting updates, and i am looking forward to
see the bug-free Voyager 3.0 :)

I dont really use AWeb unless a page needs it, like a page that needs
javacrapt that iB and V doesnt support yet. I generally dont use it
because it hasnt got enough festures, and is held back in the past by
ClassAct.

Lynx, i use on unix shells etc.. Ive never really used it on Amiga.

I really do hope that the new releases of IBrowse and Voyager do get all the
bugs sorted out. And i know its a hard job... If i was put in front of a
computer and told to code a browser, i wouldnt even know where to start. ;)

/me looks at the subject... oh.. Merry Christmas and stuff :)
