Hi,

I have trouble with the PPC version of the flash anyway. It always
crashes on me if the SWF has mouseable buttons on it. For example
http://www.joecartoon.com always crashes me when moving the mouse
over the selectable items at the bottom of the screen (V PPC engine
cyberhits are reported then it hangs the main V task).

I doi have sound enabled I think, and suprisingly it worked ;) though
I don't think it makes any difference to the crashing. I used to have
this same problem with the old VFlashPPC module, but since this ones a
total rewrite I can't explain it. I do have the lastest flashPPC and
libs installed too. With the old flash, these problems went if I used
the 68K plugin, but I haven't tried that here yet.

Also, on the subject of V and flash problems, the following site is
totally unusable:

http://www.joytech.co.uk/

Not only can you not get iton it via the "click here" button (JS
related problem that one though), but the whole site is SWF geared,
and selecting options results in blank screens being displayed.

I've also noticed another problem with V and some weird graphical
artefacts. I recently installed the CSS webfonts update, which
although looking nice, the sizes are too big (have to use matts
tutorial on this I think). However, when viewing
http://www.hyperion-software.de/ with these fonts, when scrolling the
page (with the cursor keys, or dragging the prop gadget), the "firey"
image and the text at the top of the page seem to keep getting pasted
again and again (like if you grab a brush with PPaint/DPaint, then use
the line tool to get a row of them drawn down the screen). If you
click in the prop gadget to jump up and down the page this problem is
eradicated.

Anyways, apart from that it all seems to be reasonaly well. I get an
occasional slowdown, but printing works (16bit CGX screen with
Turboprint 7), and the occasional crash - which I can't explain. Some
people report instability with loads of V windows open, and whilst I
have come acroos this sometimes just by opening a 2nd window, I have
used V quite happily with 5 or 6 V browser windows open.

So, thanks to the vapor guys for constantly updating this and their
other software :)

Cya,
Steven.
