So what conclusion do we draw?
*Learn foreign languages!*
Because that's the best part of the 'globalization'.
IMHO it would be very pityful if this process would
lead to an uni-languaged world where English would
displace all the other languages.
IMHO one more advantage of learning foreign languages
is that you get in contact with the different cultures,
learn more about the foreign history and society,
gain more understanding for the attitudes and
thinking of other people,....

Well, fine.
But I must admit that my skills in Dutch are not very trained,
reading is fine, understanding while listening is bad,
speaking nearly impossible. But the reason for this
mainly is that I haven't had the need to do so, until now.
