I'm not an expert on filesystems, but as far as I can tell there aren't alot
of differences in the way the different filesystems work. You are right that
if a major problem does develop with SFS then the only real way of dealing
with it is to backup and reformat. However it is very rare that a major
problem does develop. They are incompatible with programs such as Disksalv
and Quarterback Tools.

I dont know how it works, but with SFS a reboot while writing to the disk will
not cause it to become invalidated.
