I have but two things to say.

First, is the date, at the top, correct? I received this in the wee
hours of September 9, 2000.

Second, IMHO, you question smacks of a protection bit situation.
Using DirWork (a truly great program -- I stopped using it when I found
it placed an invisible file on my system disk; this file may be harmless,
but, until I communicate with the author, I decided not to use the demo
anymore or pay the registration fee), highlight the file, then click on
the "protect" button. See if there is a line where a "d" would be. If
so, then it means that the file is protected from deletion. If you
click on this part, you will see a "d" appear. Once you allow the pro-
gram to do its magic, you will be able to delete whatever you wish.

I recently had a problem with copying over some files because they
had a line in the "read" "r" place. After I had it show an "r", I had
no difficulty in copying.

   Hope this helps.

                                         Julian.
