Voyager is already full of such workarounds (it still supports the
<centre> tag, for compatibility with some stoneage Netscape version,
for example), and generally, I think that the most sensible goal is to match
the behavior of MSIE as closely as possible, even when it's Against
The Standards or simply Utter Crap(tm).

People doing web development should rather use dedicated HTML
validators (http://validator.w3.org/ springs to mind, although I guess there
are others), instead of relying on browser behavior.
