I wonder if someone could asssist me with a problem I'm having with V.
For some time I had difficulty starting V (both 3.3.95 and
3.2.13). I assumed it was a problem with OS 3.0, but it remained
under OS 3.9. I'm now pretty certain it is a clash with my Mediator.
I swapped to the non-mmu version, and V was happy for a bit, but is
now playing up again.
The symtoms are:
When starting, V will show the little progress bar, which gets as far
as 'done starting up'. I then get a flashing recoverable alert, 0100
000F, which just keeps on repeating. Snoopdos shows V repeatedly
trying to open topaz.font 8.
Sometimes having a couple of MD II windows open stops this happening.
Sometimes opening the screen using PSI helps, but not often.
Has anyone else experienced this? I've not seen it mentioned either
here or on the Mediator ML. Could anyone suggest what might be trying
to open topaz, or how I can trace down the problem?
