Worse 3G-coverage? Could you please do a ping with your girlfriends
3g-device to see how the line quality is?

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator> ping -t some-host-on-net

Then after around 500 lines press CTRL+C and show the result:

Packets: Sent = 512, Received = 512, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 51ms, Maximum = 53ms, Average = 51ms
