Hi,
I followed the numerous guides that explain the configuration of the
shrewsoft vpn client. I allways succeed in opening the tunnel, but I
can't reach any host in the network but I reach any host in the
internet. I communicate via t-mobile web'n walk stick IV. imho it seems
to be a problem with the nameserver/name resolution and/or default
gateway. Due to the fact that the tunnel is created, there seems no
problem with authentification. Is it a bug, a feature or do I do
something wrong ?
The address of the LANCOM's public interface is 1.2.3.4 (yes, I do not
publish the true address)
The address of the network behind is: 192.168.10.9 (netmask 255.255.255.0)
The network's nameserver is: 192.168.10.2
So I used the address of the nameserver on the tab Name Resoulution as
my DNS server address and used the network's address
192.168.10.0/255.255.255.0 on the policy tab. Policy generation level is
auto and the two available options are disabled.
Any idea ?
