Yes, I'm testing on Windows 7 and the name of the registry entry is LsoV1IPv4, this probably describes the version of LSO Broadcom is using. Which one is it with Intel?

I can perform more testing with my Broadcom. Can you please install the 2.2.0 version on an Intel system and see if you have better luck. My testing showed a vast improvement ( 22k/s to 6MB/s ).

I'll give Intel a try tomorrow.

Hi Matthew,

no good news also from the tests with Intel (LSO is version 2):

Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT-Desktopadapter

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1076&SUBSYS_11768086&REV_00

driver: Microsoft 28.05.2008  version: 8.4.1.1 on Windows 7

Test with Shrew 2.17

LSO off

 - send 935 kbs

 - receive 2150 kbs

LSO on

 - Send  connection dropped

 - receive  2150 kbs

Test with Shrew 2.20  Alpha 10

LSO on

- send connection dropped

One wish for the next alpha: is it possible to add the alpha version to the info window? Currently it just shows 2.2.0, alpha 10 is missing.

Bernd
