I am not sure if this is true. I am currently investigating on this
issue because Shrew works on my laptop with ethernet but not with WLAN. I
don't like to disable some native os functions just because of a
program.

No matter what i do device manager says "Shrew Virtual Adapter" is
disabled. When i try to enable it, the adapter disappears in the device
manager.
Is it correct, that the "Shrew Virtual Adapter" is disabled ?

This is correct. The adapter will be activated in the moment you
establish the connection. No need to enable it manually.

Subject: [vpn-help] No connection under Win7 32bit

Hi,

i'm trying to install the vpnclient on my first win7 laptop.

As i found out, i have to disable something like "Microsoft miniport
virtual wifi" (don't know the exact name on the english version).

The Shrew client version 2.2.0 betas contain the fix for this problem, so that you do not have to disable the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport adapter.
