For a long time I wished there was a possibility to start a connection
from the commandline or a batch/script. It turns out it's there at least
in version 2.2.0 but not documented anywhere as far as I know. I just
started ipsecc.exe from its installation-folder "C:\Program
Files\ShrewSoft\VPN Client" and got a message-screen saying
Invalid parameters specified ...
ipsecc.exe -r "name" [ -u <user> ][ -p <pass> ][ -a ]
-r site configuration path
-u connection user name
-p connection user password
-a auto connect
After some testing it turns out that "name" is the name as it appears in
the ipsecca – window . Adding the –a starts the connection as promised.
I would like this added to the helpfile. Would be nice if you could
rightclick on the tray-icon and "exit" and "disconnect" / "connect"
from there.
Victor,
Thanks for the input. The documentation is falling a bit behind. I am in
the process of updating it now for the 2.2.2 release which will be
available soon. Besides the documentation update, we will be adding
support for auto-reconnect.
Thanks,
-Matthew
