So basically I assume that this fragmentation also affects the virtualized network adaptor that is based on real software (VMXNET) and not the one that is based on simulated hardware (E1000) I will give it another try with a more recent version of Shrew in some days. Fortunately changing a network adaptor in VMware is nothing you need a screwdriver for ;-)
