Hello,

I have recently bought the paid version just to learn that there is a
problem with connecting to the McAfee Enterprise firewall with the newest
vpn client (while 2.1 works fine).

The connection is negotiated correctly but then I get the error from the
gateway:

"Received an IPsec packet with a payload length which is not a multiple of
the ESP encryption algorithm block size. This could indicate a truncated
packet."

This happens regardless of ciphers used in the configuration.

The McAfee Enterprise Firewall (formerly Sidewinder) is at the newest
8.3.1P2 version.

Hi Piotr,

In the Shrew site configuration, under the Phase 1 and Phase 2 tabs, try manually selecting the Proposal Parameters (instead of leaving them on auto). This may correct the truncated/fragmented packet problem for you.
