Hi Steven,
Yes the vhost-user is connected to a CSR 1k launched as VM by QEMU
(version 2.11.1).
I have appended the following lines to the xml configuration of the vm
</interface>
<interface type='vhostuser'>
<mac address='00:00:00:00:00:01'/>
<source type='unix' path='/var/run/vpp/vm1_1.sock' mode='server'/>
<model type='virtio'/>
<address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x08'
function='0x0'/>
</interface>
<interface type='vhostuser'>
<mac address='02=0:00:00:00:00:02'/>
<source type='unix' path='/var/run/vpp/vm1_2.sock' mode='server'/>
<model type='virtio'/>
<address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x09'
function='0x0'/>
</interface>
The show vhost returns:
