Hi Xue, To my knowledge it has not been tried nor tested. GRE interfaces today do not support a multicast destination address. However, other tunnel types (like VXLAN) do so adding support shouldn’t be too hard. After that the mfib support egress out of any interface type.
I also have a draft in the pipeline that supports recursing through an mfib entry that will simplify multicast tunnel implementations.
