Hi All: Today DPDK bind script will name the interfaces based on their PCI address so for example if I have the following 2 interfaces 00:08.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82540EM Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 02) 00:09.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82540EM Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 02) I will end up with :-
GigabitEthernet0/8/0 1 up 1500/0/0/0 GigabitEthernet0/9/0 2 up 1500/0/0/0 is there a mechanism today decouple the interface's name from its PCI address ? Ideally I like to have G0/0/0 and G0/0/1 for the above example.so regardless to where I deploy vpp I can use the same configs ? Thanks,Mohamed
