I bet you are missing build dependencies, see https://fd.io/vppproject/vppbuilding/ In short, You must run 'make install-dep' to install those. Then, you can install VPP external dependencies with 'make install-ext-dep'. It would prevent you to rebuild dpdk, etc. each time and will speed up rebuilds. Best ben
