Folks,

For the past several weeks, Peter Mikus and I have been finalizing the transition of CI jobs from Jenkins to Github Actions.  The CSIT jobs have been scheduled solely by Github Actions for a few weeks now and VPP per-patch GHA workflows have been running in parallel with jenkins jobs.

All jobs continue to run in the Nomad cluster in the Vexxhost lab where all of the FD.io server hardware is hosted utilizing enhanced docker executor images that contain github workflow runner along with new dispatcher to coordinate starting the nomad containers to pick up github action workflows.

Jenkins job scheduling for gerrit patches will be disabled today and only github actions will run and vote starting.

Note that status in jenkins will no longer be available and GHA workflows can be tracked via links in the gerrit change or via the github actions tab on the vpp mirror: https://github.com/FDio/vpp/actions,  The gerrit patchset is included in the job names for clarity.

In order for new patchsets to be verified and voted in gerrit, all gerrit changes must be rebased on master: HEAD.  I will be rebasing all current patches in the queue starting with those patches in the Vote: -1 state over the next few days in a paced fashion so as to not DDOS the nomad cluster.

Comment based triggers: 'recheck' or 're-run gha' can be used to re-verify a patchset.

I will be closely monitoring the CI, so if you have issues please respond to this email. In addition, if an urgent situation arises, direct message me on zulip, or slack.

Thanks for your patience during this transition.
