I demonstrated (also with Vlad) 973Mpps and 1.3Tbps throughput with 200G network cards: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptm9h-Lf0gg We also generated this traffic with T-Rex. It takes a fair bit of work to understand the motherboard, pci lanes, CPU micro architecture and other parameters, to generate and route traffic at these 1Tbps+ rates, but it's demonstrably possible.
