Thank you for all of your patience during the recent period of elevated
false negative results from the VPP CI. Matus, Aritra, and I have been
working diligently to identify and resolve the systemic issues
underlying this. In addition, many thanks to all contributors who have
been upstreaming changes to fix 'make test' testcases and the framework
to eliminate false negatives results in per-patch CI testing. Due to all
of this excellent work, the CI is becoming more robust every day. Great
job everyone!
For the benefit all VPP consumers, please rebase your gerrit change on
top of master/HEAD weekly.
Code that was Verified +1 more than a week prior is susceptible to
introducing 'test escape' bugs into VPP due to changes in the CI, test
infra/cases, and vpp codebase itself. Rebasing periodically has the
additional benefit of moving your gerrit change to the top of the gerrit
queue, enhancing visibility by those reviewing gerrit changes.
