Did you take an existing RedHat 8.0 box and upgrade
it to RedHat 9? Or did you do a fresh RedHat 9 install?

I use RedHat 9 for developement and we do not have any
problems with fresh installs.

Sounds like library incompatibilites. RedHat 8 had problems
with libraries and version. You might save your self time
by using a fresh redhat 9 install.
