I've double checked the ACL file, no trailing/leading spaces anywhere.
Also, even giving the default group all permissions in the ACL file has no
affect whatso ever, still permission denied on everything.

The acl code is alittle touchy, make sure there
are no trailing whitespace characters at the end of the lines.
