Hi Guiseppe,
The C compiler changed under RH 9.0, you must
apply a lot of patches for errno definitions in the various utilities and
qmail to make it work, and recompile....
It is easy enough but a bit manual.
Cheers Karl

Subject: [vqadmin] The new glibc in
RedHat 9 results in "incorrectly built binary"
Hi All,
I have
installed
qmail-1.03
vpopmail-5.2.1
autorespond-2.0.2
ezmlm-0.53
qmailadmin-1.0.6
vqadmin-2.3.4
on RedHat 8.0.
All
works fine but when I upgrade my server to RedHat 9.0 all go
wrong.
The new glibc in RedHat 9 results in "incorrectly built
binary" errors when attempting to run executables file in /cgi-bin/ of
qmailadmin or vqadmin.
The error is due because /lib/tls/libc.so.6
does not have _res, errno and h_errno variables and cannot have them without
slowing all programs down considerably.
I have already patch
qmail-1.03, ucspi-tcp-0.88, daemontools-0.76 ( with the respective patch
qmail-1.03.errno.patch, ucspi-tcp-0.88.errno.patch and
daemontools-0.76.errno.patch) then Qmail works correct. Is there a way to
patch also qmailadmin or vqadmin?
thanks in
advance
Giuseppe
