No, that is why we build the vpopmail daemon. The php programs
do not require any special privilages. Instead, php makes a socket
connection to vpopmaild which is running as root. php sends commands
to vpopmaild who executes them and returns status.

Not yet, we are still working out the basic layout of the pages and
the authentication pages.
