I've made this separate branch for this add on only. Other ones that I could separate, if you are interested, are: - A way to limit the ports that VRPN opens, so it can be controlled and used behind a firewall - A threaded version for the client, so it can handle devices with different refresh rates - Support for text messages in the client Hope it helps.
