oh, I just omitted these, sorry for the confusion. Of course, I have to do ip rule add from 137.248.9.0/27 lookup 2 to actually use the 2. table So the sole question left seems to be why routing tables cannot be built independantly from each other -- and that looks like a topic for the LARTC list.
