That's not true for Kernel 2.6 / latest utils. Flower Page says: /etc/vservers/vserver-name/interfaces/iface/name When this file exists, the interface will be named with the text in this file. Without such an entry, the IP will not be shown by ifconfig but by ip addr ls only. Such a labeled interface is known as an "alias" also (e.g. 'eth0:foo').
Without setting such an alias ifconfig will be unable to show your vServers IP - ip from iproute will work nonetheless. best, Thomas Gelf Am Mittwoch, den 15.06.2005, 15:25 +0200 schrieb Timo Mller: > Hey, > how can i see with "ifconfig" for example the vServers IP-Adress ?? > I think there must stand something like that: eth0:vs1, or?? > > Thanx -- Thomas Gelf <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ Vserver mailing list [email protected] http://list.linux-vserver.org/mailman/listinfo/vserver
