After following the advices from some experts here to use yum method instead of apt-rpm. I updated yum-2.4.0.0 to yum-2.4.0-0.chroot.fc4. However, I got this error of public key for tzdata is not installed error. I googled and found out that I may need to import the pgp signature. I looked at /etc/yum.repos.d/ and all of the URL points to redhat.com<http://redhat.com>servers. Here is the listing of the corresponding pgp files /etc/pki/rpm-gpg [root rpm-gpg]# ls RPM-GPG-KEY RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-extras RPM-GPG-KEY-rawhide RPM-GPG-KEY-beta RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-rawhide RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-test And here is the file /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-updates.repo [updates-released] name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Released Updates #baseurl= http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/$releasever/$basearch/ mirrorlist= http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/updates-released-fc$releasever enabled=1 #gpgcheck=1 gpgcheck=0 gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora ################################## And here is /etc/yum.conf [main] cachedir=/var/cache/yum debuglevel=2 logfile=/var/log/yum.log pkgpolicy=newest distroverpkg=redhat-release tolerant=1 exactarch=1 retries=20 obsoletes=1 #gpgcheck=1 gpgcheck=0 # PUT YOUR REPOS HERE OR IN separate files named file.repo # in /etc/yum.repos.d ################################### I read the man page for yum and I think gpgcheck=0 means not to check the pgp signature. I also tried to remove RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora but it also failed with the same error. Here is the command I tried to build a guest server. vserver lanweb build -m yum --hostname=lanweb --interface eth1:192.168.0.78<http://192.168.0.78>-- -d fc4 ============================================================================= Package Arch Version Repository Size ============================================================================= Installing: glibc i686 2.3.5-10.3 updates-released 5.7 M Installing for dependencies: basesystem noarch 8.0-5 base 2.7 k filesystem i386 2.3.4-1 base 16 k glibc-common i386 2.3.5-10.3 updates-released 15 M libgcc i386 4.0.1-4.fc4 updates-released 49 k setup noarch 2.5.44-1.1 updates-released 31 k tzdata noarch 2005m-1.fc4 updates-released 436 k Transaction Summary ============================================================================= Install 7 Package(s) Update 0 Package(s) Remove 0 Package(s) Total download size: 21 M warning: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 4f2a6fd2 Public key for tzdata-2005m-1.fc4.noarch.rpm is not installed rm -rf /etc/vservers/.defaults/vdirbase/lanweb /etc/vservers/lanweb /etc/vservers/.defaults/vdirbase/.pkg/lanweb Thank you for your help. GPG keys are searched in /etc/vserver/.distributions/.common/pubkeys/ (the reference spec file and util-vserver in Fedora Extras has the corresponding commands to copy the known keys to this location). To fix it, you could do | cp -a /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM* /etc/.distributions/.common/pubkeys/ Enrico -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
