the Gentoo init script is not capable of staring individual servers, it just can start/stop "all" servers, so if you use heartbeat with only tow nodes and want gentoo to start all vserver guest if the opposite node fails this is ok.
If you use (like me) a setup with more than one opponent, you cant use the gentoo script without modifications....
PS. Are you by any chance also using DRBD for your vservers? I have to incorporate that as well, as a 'prerequisite' for vserver, I guess...
