Hi Boris, this is more or less expected behaviour...vServer does not really run an own "linux" inside the compartments but only does process separation. What init-type are you running - I guess that if you use fakeinit, at least the init-process will reside in the namespace.
To circumvent the problem I wrote a litte helper that simply sleeps infinitely inside the server.
