well, while you are perfectly right there, this _is_
the result of such a procedure ...

the pattern is like this:

vserver-build.functions.<whatever>
vserver-build.<whatever>

where <whatever> currently is one of
apt, apt-rpm, debootstrap, fai, rpm, yum ...
