I've scanned over the archives a little, yes.
The beta "works" for me. I left it going for 5 hours yesterday, but it never got passed LOADVSSNAMES though :)

Wow, that is strange. 5 hours for only loading the names. How large is your names.dat file? This is one of the easiests steps and normally finishes within minutes.

what happens if you run "ssphys info names.dat > names.xml"? How large is the XML file.

ssphys is only the backend doing the decoding of the binary files. All
higher logic is done in the perl converter vss2svn. So normally you
don't have to use ssphys directly. vss2svn takes care for it. But if you
want, you can play with "ssphys --help"

Yeah, I tried that, but I was hoping for sub help, help on the arguments to info, etc.
You could try "ssphys help info" but there is not much more help. Only the "ssphys help get" has a little more to say ;-)

Thanks, I don't know C++, but I can muddle through with perl.
No problem, this is the area, where we need the most help currently.

Dirk
