OK, it seems I've gotten everything working with PerlApp and figuring
out the XML module, so I've released 0.10-beta 2. I generated an .exe
which contains all the necessary Perl modules (and the Perl interpreter
itself, which is why it's 3.5 MB!) and zipped it up with the latest
ssphys.exe.
It can be downloaded from:

Remaining hurdles until the 0.10 release are a couple outstanding
tickets and getting the online docs in much better shape.
