Note that the files were actually shared on > 09/09/05. Just a dump question? Are you checking with TortoiseSVN? there is a "stop on copy/rename" flag at the bottom of the "Log Dialog". When this flag is set, you don't see the history before the share. I don't know whether there is a similar flag to the commandline client.
I wish that was the problem.
