Due to the recent increase in activity on this project, I have opened up the Trac site a bit to allow anonymous users to modify and create wiki pages, as well as create or append to tickets (but not otherwise modify tickets).

I have avoided this in the past because unfortunately a lot of lazy people will use wikis and tickets to ask questions or post what they consider "bug reports" which are really just user error or something that is explained in the FAQ or has been discussed on the mailing list. (Trac doesn't have a built-in online registration for new users but I believe there's a module to do so, so if I start getting spammed I may implement that).

As mentioned on the New Ticket page, non-registered users can create tickets only to submit a patch or to create a ticket for an issue that was already discussed on the list. Patches are always welcome on the mailing list too but having a ticket will ensure I don't lose track of it.

Thanks,
toby
