I have pretty conclusive evidence that a single VSS file commit of 343
MB crashes, but a 100MB file works ok.
And, the "silently crashes" part was because I was running the script
on a remote server. A person called me the other day to tell me there
was a pop up dialog indicating the program had crashed, but provided
no useful information.
My poor perl skills and inability to build from sources means I'm
unable to help debug this issue. If the nightly build .exe was built
without perlApp's "--clean", could I patch the resulting extracted
directories?
I'm not using --clean. I believe you should be able to patch the
extracted files, but I've not tried doing that myself.
