you have a broken archive. I expect that you have moved the problematic file out of your data directory. Probably this file was the project, that you are missing. As I wrote earlier, send me the file in private, I will try to fix those broken characters, and then you can put the file back into place and try to rerun the conversion.

Orphaned files exists, if there is a file or project item in VSS, where no parent project is known or recoverable. More or less the same issue, as with FAT32 filesystem errors in former times.
