Hi Keith,

The dumpfile is in the main a textfile and you can look into the file by any 
text editor. 
The dumpfiles are often very large, that's why your schould use an editor, that 
can handle large files.

If you do it, you can see something like this directly at the file's begin:

SVN-fs-dump-format-version: 2

UUID: 88BCA0F4-6C08-1014-8B8E-8D335B83620C


Revision-number: 1
Prop-content-length: 99
Content-length: 99

...
...
...


1. What do you see in your dumpfile? 
2. What version of the svnadmin have you used? You can find it out whith 
command: 
svnadmin --version. I used the version 1.4.5 to load the dumpfiles, that have 
been created by vss2svn.
