I couldn't reproduce the problem when the multicolumn listbox and
combobox don't show up.
I installed on a clean Win98 system vTcl 1.2.2 with Tcl/Tk 8.3.2 then I
unzipped the files and the 2 libraries loaded as expected.
The idea with not installing these extensions by default is that Tcl/Tk
8.4
will include both the multicolumn listbox and combobox so they will just
be
standard Tk widgets supported by the next version of vTcl. The 8.4
version will feature a fair number of new widgets
