Okay, I may be a little late on this ... I see that back in May
cgavin asked if people were interested in maintaining a mac version of
vtcl. I wasn't around to answer YES then, but I am now.
I've used tcl/expect extensively under unix for work but have only
recently started using tcl/tk at home on my ibook. I have a pet
software project I've been working on, and as I am fairly new to the
Tk side of things, thought that using vtcl would speed up my coding a
bit. I downloaded the latest version, untarred it, and fiddled with
it for half an hour before I decided to read the mailing list
archives.
So can someone fill me in on whether a mac version is supported or is
planned? Does the older version work for mac so I can at least see if
the tool will serve my purposes? I am an experienced developer but a
neophyte mac developer, but would be happy to provide whatever
assistance I can to make this tool usable on the macintosh. The whole
reason I am coding my own software for the mac to begin with is
because the tool I want the most is only written for windows!
Thanks,
Rebecca
