To try and sum up the responses I got and make sure I 'get it'.
-Local variables only exist inside a procedure (non-persistent). (Their
scope is the procedure)
-Namespace variables persist and are encapsulated within a namespace
('global within namespace only' or their scope is within the namespace)
-Global variables truly have a global scope and are persistent. If this
is so, does it not lead to possible problems if two different namespaces
declare the same global variable?
Chris Bennent: Thanks for the tip on the book. Are there any other good
TCL/TK books to be aware of? I am writing a wrapper for rDesktop to
teach myself TCL/TK.
