As long as they're not set, we're happy, but what's the point of declaring them as global in the "top level" of the code? I've never done this in any of my apps, or even noticed it in others. I believe all it takes is a global in a procedure to make something global, and any vars set in the toplevel are automatically global. Does vTcl require this for its own reasons? ...RickM...
