I think this is a CDE "feature". I added a feature in 1.10 (which only
works on unix) which allows you do iconify the entire application by
clicking the minimize button on the main vtcl window. This is bound to
to <Unmap> and I speculate that CDE causes this to be generated when
you change desktops. fvwm does not do this.
