I notice that there are *terrible* problems with tk (and consequently
vtcl) with regard to focus control.  Those of us who are experimenting
with vtcl and tk on Windows 95, where focus-on-open is a convention, are
stymied by the fact that when we run an application, we may not be able
to immediately use the keyboard.

I have found that liberal use of the "focus -force ..." command helps
out with this.

What I don't understand is; why does the tk manual discourage the use of
the "-force" option?
