Larry's suggestion takes care of this. You just keep using vTcl 1.10 for
this
application using 7.6/4.2, and when you're ready to switch you go with
8.0 and
the current vTcl that matches. Hopefully, vTcl can automate some or all
of the
conversion required.

Probably a waste of limited resources. IOW, there are other things we'd
rather 
Stewart work on, right?  :-)

It's just a matter of time before everybody forgets about
7.[456]/4.[012], just
like 7.0/3.6 are long gone.
