A WALL AGAINST THE WORLD

150 countries voted in the UN General Assembly in favor of accepting the decision of the International Court of Justice that the wall on Palestinian land violates international law.

5 countries voted with the Sharon government against the resolution, including Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and Palau.

10 countries abstained, including Tonga, Vanuatu, Papua, Nauru and the Solomon Islands, all of them remote Pacific Ocean islands.

So, exactly, began the world-wide boycott of racist South Africa.

It is a mistake to rely forever on the American veto. The opinion of the vast majority of the worlds nations has an accumulating importance.

Yet, after all: the decisive change must come from within us.
