Subject: Re: 'Mr. Nader's Baiting'
"Mr. Nader's Baiting" begins with a weird game of guilt-by-association. Nader is lumped with white supremacists because they both used "puppet" to describe Congress' devotion to the policies of Israel. Therefore Nader's language is bigoted. And you're complaining about cheap shots?
You are shocked by Nader's statement that Kerry is a "puppet politician who does not think in the best interests of the American people and the Israeli and Palestinian people." That "P" word again. Dangerous stuff. Of course Kerry is a puppet politician, but civil discourse should stop at "marionette".
When Nader refers to "AIPAC's ditto machine on Capitol Hill" or members of Congress "who, against their private judgment, resign themselves to sign on the dotted line" for Israel, hes only describing what former Rep. Paul Findley reported from the inside in 1981 (They Dare to Speak Out). If factual observations are bigotry, the truth is in peril.
